Mr Voyager started out after I joined Second Life. With out knowing too much about what Second Life was, I signed up and investigated it. I had to select a screen name so I selected Research Voyager. I thought it fit at the time so I stuck with it. Now I don’t want you to think that my whole life is spent on Second Life, actually very little time is spent there at all. I log on once in a while to navigate my way through the environment to see what’s new. I usually do it with my web address http://www.mrvoyager.com posted over my avatar then go back and look at the number of hits I got during that period of time. This usually results in 5 – 10 hits to the page. Not a significant number by any means but it works.
Since then I have spent some time establishing a Mr Voyager presence on various social networking and blog sites. My interaction on the social networking site MySpace http://www.myspace.com/mrvoyageris primarily geared towards the musical aspect of this project. I have spent some time establishing a few relationships with musical talent that I hope to be part of this effort in some way, shape or form. On top of that I have also messed around with a few 30 second youtube commercials with basic messages.
In the real world first and foremost I am a proud father of two wonderful children and husband to a beautiful wife. For the daily grind I am a Sr Systems Engineer implementing and supporting a SharePoint 2007 environment in a laser manufacturing business that stretches the globe. This has been a great opportunity for me, I have been meeting new people from all around the world.
My interest in what is going on around the world has lead me to starting this blog to collect some thoughts and sort of start to put down my vision for what’s going on in the world. I’ve been fascinated with what is going on around the world these days.
An area that this blog space will start to touch on over time will be an area that truely interests me and that is advertising. We all have an opportunity to promote what we choose the way we choose. Each one of us will approach this topic differently, some will disregard it and others will jump on the opportunity to run with it. My intent is to use this site to capture areas that interest me where related to the subject at hand while at the same time documenting some of my interests in either Fiction or Non-Fiction writing format. I hope that this twist will pull together my vision for the future, our future, this future.
